The Delaware and Maryland GOSLEES are all des-
cended from a John Goslee who was on rent rolls
from 1666-1723 in Stepney Parish (Wicomico 100)
Somerset County, Maryland.Land records of the
now Wicomico County will give all GOSLEE infor-
mation. The problem following GOSLEE names in
the past is the various spelling of the name from
Gasley, Gorly, Goreley, Gausley Goslin, Gosse and
on and on.
The land records of Wicomico County indicate that
a John Goslee born 1707-1709 in Stepney Parish
married a Joanah/joanna Cheeseman who was born
1713 around 1731-1734.Their son John married a
Hannah Tull 10 September 1754 and two of their
children were named James and Josiah.
They were related to the Delaware GOSLEES which
have come about because of the second mentioned
John above brother Richard's offsprings and
another brother Thomas's only son named Samuel
Boardman GOSLEE.My address is as folows:
6054 Gibson Avenue, Meridian Township, East
Lansing, MI 48823-1532.Telephone number will
be furnished upon an inquiry as I am in the
process of detailing the complete history of the
Maryland and Delaware Goslee's as they all did
have one common ancestor. Sincerely Harold "Hal"
Smith
