I never knew the name Gorsuch had such a rich past! I want to know how I might be related to this intersting lineage. The earliest recored I have founf is of my gg grand father Joseph Gorsuch Born in 1820 in Tn according to the 1880 census. His son my g grand father was Lorenzo T. Gorsuch was born IA in 1872 same resource. I believe this is the father of Francis Lorenzo Gorsuch born in 1902 died in 1978. My father is Donald Tipton Gorsuch, born 1936 in Il. He has told me that our family had an ansestor who had something to do with the founding of Tipton IA and Augustana colledge. Does anyone have any information about any of this? I have elleven brothers and sisters and six children of my own and would like to know more.
