I have had to reply here as your email address is hidden.

I have two branches of Gorringe-one goes back to James Gorringe bc 1750. He married Amy Taylor in Worth in 1772.

The other branch is as far as William Gorringe b 1770 and who married Mary Charlwood at Merstham, Sy in 1795. He may have been the son of Richard and Margeret bapt 21 Nov 1770 at Hurstpierpoint. I haven;t been able to find out what happened to that William and mine certainly did have children called Richard and Margaret.
