I do not have any information on her. My Gorrells left NC after the civil war so I did not follow the ones in NC much after that, only the "other" Ralph, who was a first cousin to my Ralph who wentto MS.He was a well known attorney who served in the NC legislature and wasthe depositer for NC during the civil war.He was a MASON and made a strong plea for NC NOT to secede from the Union. Once they did, he was loyal to his state. He lost 2 sons to the war.His son Julius died in camp and his son, Henry Clay was shot on the road just south of Jamestown, VA. There is a record of him getting permission to go and get Henry Clay's body and bring it home.Henry Clay's uniform was on display(bullet hole and all) in the Greensboro historical musuem the first time I went to Greensboro back in the early 80s.Since then, they have built a whole new building around the old one(which was the Presbyterian Church originally).
