Where in Ireland did Ralph and Mary come from? What other family members came before them, with them, or followed them?Has anyone any connection between them and the Lt. James Gorrell who was with Boquet during the French and Indian War?The Gorrell who came to Charles City County, VA, in about 1632?Or, my ancestor, the Robert Gorrell who married Susannah Smith from Harford Co., MD, and moved to Greene Co., PA, and then to what is now Tyler Co., WV?
Or, maybe, any connection to the ShipGorrell,Henry Ford, Master, from Liverpool and later Cape Charles, which (sunk?), and whose anchors, sales, cables, rigging, etc., were being sold in Norfolk on Saturday, the 2nd of June, 1770?
Or, finally, any suggestion to where Ralph's family farm in Co. Donegal in Ireland, on the waters of Loch Swilly, called the Crannock Freehold named Lurgy Brack Down Hazel and Coromeh Lea (as nearly as I can read it from a bad copy of his will)?
I had never heard the 1730 dates before, so I am expecting those might have come with additional info.
Thanks,
Harper Grimm
