Gornall Family Bishop Auckland, Co.Durham
Posted by: Keith Armstrong (ID *****3284) Date: April 21, 2008 at 02:35:18
  of 103

Richard Gornall married Jane Bainbridge 04.02.1750.
A son, John Gornall married twice, first to an unknown but possibly FORSTER and secondly to Mary Appleton, 11.04.1797.
One of John's sons was John Forster Gornall who named one of his sons Robert Foster Gornall.
The letter 'R' became lost through time, and the name became FOSTER .
Since then the 'F' has been used as FOGAN and also FARREL.
These being in use in the USA.
Any information about the Bishop Auckland Gornall and particularly John Gornalls first wife most appreciated.
Keith Armstrong.
