Looking for descendents of Patrick Gorman. Born in Thomaston Killkenney Ireland 01-06-1810. Emigrates to St. Louis Mo in 1823.
Sponsored by his Uncles Julius and Edward Walsh of St. Louis Mo. Attends St.Vincent College in Cape Girardeau Mo. Becomes a lawyer and partner of firm Finn and Gorman in St. Louis. Marries Margaret Murphy in 1842. First son Thomas born 1845 in St. Louis. Second son William D. born in 1849. Daughter Ella Gorman born in 1854. Appointee command of steamboat Henry Von Phul. Margaret Murphy Gorman dies in 1859, marries Jane Brady in 1861. Two sons John J. and Roger E are born (do not know date of birth). John J. Gorman burial date 11-17-1925, Roger burial date 09-06-1925. Captain Patrick Gorman was killed while commanding the steamboat Von Phul in Monganza Bend Louisana on 12-08-1863. Is buried at Calvary Cemetary St. Louis Mo. Would like to know if any other descendents of my Great,great grandfather Gorman live in St Louis or any place else. Ella Gorman married my great grandfather Michael Ryan in St. Louis Mo. Any information will be very valuable.
