Walter A. GORMAN 133 Penn Ave died today. He emigrated to America when he was 11 years old. In 1856 he started a grocery store and he became one of the city's leading merchants. Survived by wife and the following children; Rev Walter A. GORMAN, Carbondale; John J., Austin and Bernard GORMAN all involved in the plumbing business in Scranton; Mrs Mary CAVANAUGH wife of P. A. CAVANAUGH Southside store keeper; Mrs. John GRADY, well known blacksmith, Scranton; Mrs. P. A. DUFFY prominent business man of Carbondale; Veronica GORMAN at home; 3 sisters Mrs. Mary GERRITY, Mrs. Michael O'CONNOR both in the Bellevue section of Scranton; Mrs. John CASEY, of Adams Ave. Services St. Peter Cathedral, interment Cathedral Cemetery.
