Ginger,
I only recently learned that my gr-gr-uncle, John(Jack) C. Conners married Annie Gorman. They are listed on the 1910, 1920, 1930 NYC Census. He was a member of the elite Rescue 1 firemen almost since its inception. He retired in June 1936, and he and Annie moved to San Bernadino, CA to be with his brother Michael P. Conners and wife Texana (Babe).Neither couple had any children that I am aware of.
I am interested to learn where John and Annie were married, who her parents were, and Annie whereabouts and place of death after John died in Huntington Beach, Orange Co, CAAugust 8,1940.
The only info I have on Annie is from John's death certificate of her year of birth, 1880, and a copy of an April 12, 1940 letter she wrote her sister-in-law, Annie Conners (both were named Annie), who was married to another of John's brothers, James Conners. In it she mentions the status of health for people who live in NYC.I am thinking that these are her relatives.
Their names are:
Bill(directly below are three of Bill's children)
Anthony (Tony)
Edward
Mary Elizabeth
Fred (no idea who he is) works in/owns some kind of office
Josie(no idea who she is)
Lue (I think it reads this way; (no idea who she is)
One other note of interest:
Found 1880 NYC Census of a family
Michael Gorman 25 Canada Brakeman
Nellie Gorman 23 New York Keeping House
Wm Gorman 3 months New York (twins)
Annie Gorman 3 months New York (twins)
Maybe our Annie maybe not!Any help would be appreciated.
