Prince Georges County Court Records 1746-1749, Book BB, Pages 516, 517 At the request of James Foard the following deed was recorded September 13, 1748 This Indenture was made ye 10th day of September 1748 Between Thomas Gore of Prince Georges County province of Maryland planter of the one part and James Ford of the County and Province aforesaid planter on ye other part Witnessed the said Thomas Gore for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred thousand weight of Tobacco to him the said Thomas Gore in hand......Will and truly paid before Sealing and Delivery of these presents of receipt whereof the said Thomas Gore doth hereby acknowledge thereof and James Ford hath granted........................a track or parcel of land called ye Turnip Patch.....containing 60 acres more or less.......................................... Gordon Sam Edmonton Regnall Odell Signed: Thomas Goore On back of deed Prince Georges County September 10, 1748 Then comes before the subscribers.........................................................Jane ref. of the said Thomas Gore being her husband.
