Dear Cynthia:
This is the information that I have on your Jacob Goare.He died in Autauga County, AL
in late 1823.His wife's name was Rachel (last name unknown) who died about 1835 in Jones County, GA.These are the children that I have:
1)Anna Goare, b. 1789, Richmond Co. GA. m. Edmond Brown.
2)Henry Goare, b. 1791, Columbia Co. GA., m. Mary Babock. Henry died 1871 Chatttoga Co. GA.
3) William Phares Goare. b. Dec. 3, 1792, Columbia Co, GA, m. Feb. 15, 1816,Anna Miles Culver.Willia died Feb. 20, 1860, Stewart Co. GA.
4)Rhoda Goare, b. 1794, Columbia Co. GA., m. Aug. 22, 1812 George Barnhart, in Hancock, Co. GA.
5)Talbot Goare, b. 1795, Hancock Co. GA., m. Nov. 10, 1823, Jones Co. GA., Sally Jackson.
6)Frances Goare, b. 1797, Hancock Co. GA., m. Jan. 21, 1825, in Jones Co. GA, Henry Harris.
7)Thomas Goare, b. 1799, Hancock Co. GA.
8)John Goare, b. 1801, Hancock Co. GA. m. Sept.23, 1826, Bibb Co. AL., Sarah Whatley.
This family later moved to Claiborne Parish, LA.This family had fourteen children, and they were all born in Bibb CO, AL.
9)Green Goare, b. 1803, Hancock Co. GA, m. Nov. 29, 1829, in Jones CO, GA, Teresa (Creesey) Griffin.This family had ten children who all seem to have been born in GA, but the family later moved to Bibb Co. AL by late 1839 or early 1840.By 1860, Green Goare had moved to Neshoba Co. MS.
This information was given to given to me by some of the descendants of this branch of the Gore family at a Gore Family Reunion.So, this information would need to be double checked by anyone working on this line. Hope this information at least helps someone to get started.Charlotte G. Boykin
