I'm editor of the newsletter of the Central FL Genealogical Society and am running a feature on the mayors of Orlando. Mahlon Gore (1837 MI-1916 FL) is this month's subject. I am seeking to document the relationship between Mahlon Gore, a pioneer settler and newspaper owner, and Eldon H. Gore (1875 MI-1964 FL), who wrote the History of Orlando. Several genealogy sites state that Eldon Gore is the son of Mahlon's brother Albert, but none have documentation.
Does anyone have proof that Albert & Mahlon Gore were both sons of Larned and Lucinda Gore?
I have information on the FL Gores and photos from various county history books. I will be glad to share anything I have..
