I am trying to find out what the W stands for, Dennis W Gore born 1837 KY, son of Mastin and Elizabeth.
Dennis married Ellen T Beck 25 Jul 1861, Caldwell Co. KY.
I have not been able to find any trace of Dennis or Ellen after the marriage date. I did find a Dennis W Gore who served in the Civil War on the union side and was discharge in 1862. There is a Ellen Brown on the 1900 Washington, Co. Indiana with a son Denny Gore. On his passport on ancestry.com Denny lists his fathers name as Wood Gore. Did Dennis die before the 1870 census and Ellen remarry. (all I have is quetions)
