I found out today that the person I thought was Jerry Andrew Gore has Jerry L. Gore on his tombstone. I only saw a picture of the tombstone that my mother had. We do not know where the grave site is, but suspect Whitestone, SC, which is a small community outside Spartanburg. I found evidence today that there was a Jeremiah Leander Gore born on June 7, 1871 and died a few days later on the 24th. This was found on a page from a book where someone, possibly Rosie Sherbert was recording family births and deaths. Jeremiah was probably her son.
Now the question is: Who were Jerry L. Gore's parents. Thanks for the tip. I will be searching. Thanks. Geri Smith
