Gore/Dowden (and Sanders), MD 1700s+
I'm decended from James Gore of Maryland (1707?-1784) and Elizabeth Dowden (1716-1788), through their daughter Mary Gore (d.1797) and her husband James Sanders, and subsequently through their son William Gunnell Sanders (1769-1825) and his wife Mary Young - William and Mary being my g-g-g-g-grandparents.
I have been trying to follow various threads on here and elsewhere, but the information on cousins and earlier generations seems to be patchy and also conflicting at times. Does anyone have a reliable tree that I can be pointed to - or, failing that, anything that is confirmed on this family and their descendants? Also likewise for the lineages of siblings of James Gore, who I believe to be Mary, Elizabeth, Thomas (m. Elizabeth Allison?), and Rachel. Their father was James Gore (Sr.), and their mother Mary (Burk(e)???).
I'm willing to share details of my branch with anyone else connected who has an interest.
