I will appreciate any help that anyone can give me in finding the father's name of my great grandfather, George C. Gordon, b. 12/5/1827 in Edinburgh, Scotland, d. 8/3/1887 in Liberty County, Texas. My earliest record in 1853 he married Mary Ann D. Brown in Washington on the Brazos, Texas.
Possible brothers, Dave, Gilbert, William
Children: William B., Charlotte, George G., Annie, Ruthven, Charlie, John Wilson.
I have a lot on him after he came to Texas, but nothing as to when or how or who his father was. His mother's name was Anne, but I do not know her maiden name.
