Hi,
I don't know if I'm related. Here is my interest in the GORDON line:
My 6th great grandfather was Col. Charles ROBERTSON (1733, VA -- 1798, Washington Co., TN)The last will and testament of Col. Charles ROBERTSON is recorded in Washington County and will be found in Will Book No. 1, beginning at page 44. He styles himself Charles ROBERTSON, SR. naming his wife as Susannah.
The will is dated August 31, 1798. Col. ROBERTSON leaves his entire estate to his "sons and daughters" and appoints as his executors, his son Charles ROBERTSON, JR., James CORDON (poss GORDON) and Jacob BROWN.
I haven't been able to find this James CORDON/GORDON (or Jacob BROWN) to determine his conneciton to Charles ROBERTSON.
Charles ROBERTSON's granddaughter, Susannah ROBERTSON married into my BLACKWOOD Family in about 1800.That is why I am looking at your ancestor William BLACKWOOD GORDON.
Does your information show any connection to a ROBERTSON or BLACKWOOD Families?
Thanks,
Linda Cashen Gaunt
