CAPTAIN JOHN GORDON vs. CHAPMAN GORDON

Dear friends,
Can anyone help me on this question: Is there any connection with the line of Chapman Gordon and the well-known Captain John Gordon? Perhaps there is an entry on this forum that already addresses this question.
I am interested in the line of George W. Gordon who married a Bradshaw. It is interesting that many of these Gordons are buried at Rose Hill Cem in Maury Co?, I think. There is a plaque honoring Captain Gordon there. I am stopped at George W. Gordon who could have been born in NC or GA. I was looking at a death certificate on a son to Gordon and wife Bradshaw which indicated this. Please e-mail me a zjaz213@aol.com I shall be happy to share what little I know on this with anyone who writes. I am NOT writing a book on Gordon or Bradshaw family or trying to conceal information for such purposes. Thank you, John Zuccarello
