There's a good reason that you can't find your connection in that book: It's the genealogy of the Huntlys. They succeeded to the chiefstanship of the Gordon Clan when the last Duke of Gordon died without issue. Go to the Gordon DNA Project (http://www.thegordondnaproject.com/) and click on the Results button. You;ll see a groupd of Gordon DNA testers in a group called Jock and Tam Gordons. Jock and Tam are Jock of Scurdague and Tam of Ruthven in your list. All the t esters in the Jock & Tam group are descendants of Jock & Tam. You will also find an explanation of the Elizabeth Gordon/Alexander Seton marriage. They are the ancestors of the Seton Gordons and are related to the Huntlys that are listed below them; but not descendants, just another branch of the Gordons.
If you have a brother or another male relative (father/uncle), have him test with the Gordon DNA Project and you will find out where you fit in the larger picture.
