In researching my family and my wife's family, her maiden name is Gorden I discovered that we have a Josiah Gorden who married a Jane Dickerson in Wayne County, Iowa. We don't know any dates of birth, death, or marriage. The only child we know about is my wife's grandfather, Daniel King Gorden who married Lydia Margaret Keller on December 31, 1896...they had 9 children (the youngest is my father-in-law - Chester Gorden of Edmond, OK). I have more information if you would like it. My mother-in-law also knows some of the history of a Gorden family that came over from Ireland with ten sons....five of which settled in Iowa.
