I am descendant of Wiley Franklin Goolsby of Talbot Co. GA. There is an annual Goolsby reunion in Woodland GA in October each year at the recreation building. Many Goolsbys are buried there. The old Goolsby home place still stands there. My line is documented on rootsweb.com. My maternal grandmother was Ruby Derl Goolsby. Wiley Franklin Goolsby and Mary Elizabeth Stringfellow moved from Talbot Co. GA in the late 1890's. They moved to Covington Co. AL, near Opp and Andalusia. Some Goolsby's moved to NW FL. They married into the Nelson and Brooks families in GA and into the Kelley and Stringfellow families in AL and NW FL.
