Jesse Howell Goodwyn born 25 January 1793 died 19 August 1862 in Desoto Parish Louisiana and is buried in Old Hazelwood Cemetery. This cemetery is 159 years old and is in bad shape. Among the Goodwyn buried in Old Hazelwood are Jesse Howell Goodwyn, his wife Sarah Thomas Goodwyn, James Hopkins Goodwyn and Hopkins Goodwyn. I would like to hear from any descendants of Jesse Howell Goodwyn who might be interested in joining other descendants in trying to save Old Hazelwood Cemetery. There is a 2007 cemetery book " The Families in Old Hazelwood Cemetery " which has the names of the people buried in the cemetery, the gravestone inscriptions, a history of the cemetery, pictures of the cemetery and information with pictures of some of the families.
