Looking for any information on Sarah F. Goodwyn who married a John Powell.
One source stated that she was the first wife of John Stephen Powell who died May 24, 1857 in Coweta Co., Ga.
However, in Rev. Lucus'a book "The Powel Families of Virginia & the South" on page 551, Coweta County marriages, he writes that Sarah F. Powell married John W. Powell, January 19, 1847.
The information I have is that John Stephen Powell married Sarah Cowart in 1813 and this Sarah(Cowart) Powell died Jan 10, 1866. I can find no mention of this John Powell ever being married to Sarah F. Goodwyn.
Any information will be appreciated.
