Hi Cleoan,
The dropping of the "E" sure has made it difficult when you are trying to research the Goodwine family. No, I don't know Glenn, but maybe you can fill me in on the relatives that you know about. I don't know if you have seen or have this obit, so here goes. This obit my great grandmother, John Goodwine's wife had. The obit says she was born in Indiana, but we have other info. that she was born in Ireland and came with her parents to the United States in 1839, when she was 10 years old. She moved to Missouri in 1853....

"Harriett Ann Cunningham was born in Indiana, March 18th, 1837 and died at the home of her daughter Lucy Cogdill, June 16, 1915 at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 3 days. She moved to Iowa with her parents when a child. She was married to Wash Goodwine in 1853 and moved to Missouri in 1859. To this union were born 14 children of which 9 are living to mourn her loss. Seth T., Frank, Andrew J. Goodwine and Lucy Cogdill all of Gentry county; Abner Goodwine of Ravenwood, Emeretta Stirwalt of Rea, Rolla Goodwine of Herford, Colo., Still Goodwine of Herford, Colo. and John Goodwine of Greeley, Colo. She also leaves 37 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She joined the Methodist church when at the age of 14 years and lived a christian life until her death. Funeral services from Monroe church conducted by Rev. G.P. Sturges, June 18, 1915. Internment at Monroe Cemetery.

Seems like some of the information always is at question, but just have to go with what we have till the truth be known. I have alot of contact with one of our cousins in Wyoming. His name is Gene Daniels, and his grandfather was William Rollo Goodwine from Herford, Co. I didn't know anything about him till I made a trip to Colorado. In May of this year I went to meet him and several other Goodwines that I had never met. We both keep very busy trying to find more Goodwines. I let him know about you, so he reads everything that you and I are sending, so he is keeping informed too. No, I do not have any children, but do have my cat Meeko. Guess you could say she is my child. My husband died in 1971. I am 67 now so am retired. My brother Frank has five children, two of whom live here in Sioux City. My sister Lolly has three, and they all live in California. Well, I better get off now. See you later.
Your cousin,
