This **might** be helpful. -Will (66) Samuel5 GOODWIN (David4, Samuel3, Richard:2, Edward1), Rev. Sol. Samuel, the s/o David and Elinor (CHALLIS) GOODWIN, was born 22 Jan 1746 at Newton, N.H.; d. Concord, N.H. in 1839. He served in the Rev. War at least one enlistment, being with Capt. David Place 05 Nov 1775 at Seavey's Island; and perhaps another with Col. Wingate at Ticonderoga (New Hamp. State Papers; Rev. War Rolls, Vols. I & 2). He m. 01 Nov 1770, Elizabeth BANCROFT of Wakefield, b. 1750 and settled in Rumford (Concord), N.H. The old Rumford Book of Deeds pps. 205 & 206 records that a "Samuel GOODWIN, yeoman, late of South Hampton (Newton), purchased two parcels of land; one from Abbott and another from Eastman.
