The legislative branch of the United States government has left miles of paper in its wake since 1789. While we usually think of this as governmental red tape, the information contained in those records is of incredible value to genealogists, there were several Goodrums mentioned, some with revolutionary pension issues, others listed in government, but worth a look for early US Goodrum researchers, here is the website:
