Maybe you have something to tie into my Goodrum connection. My great grandmother was Bersheba Goodrum, probably b.1860?She married Joseph Albert Campbell and had a daughter, Nancy Matilda Campbell, b. Feb 1880 and I have reason to believe she was born in Cayuga or Utica, MS.She married my grandfather, George Beck, in 1897.On a census for Hinds Co, MS dated June 1900, I find a listing for Matilda Goodrum, b Jan 1827 and listed as a widow and head of household. In 1900, she was 72 years old and living with her was a daughter, Mary, b. May 1867.Since they were living close (as listed on the census) to George and Nancy, I assume this was my gr, gr, (gr?)grandmother.Any help you have would be appreciated.George's family lived in Claiborne, moved to Tensas Parish, LA where George was born, then back to Claiborne. But George, when he was 9 years old, went to Cayuga to live with his aunt, Elizabeth Henderson Foote.
Any help you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!! Mary
