Carla,
if Grover Cleveland Goodrum's father was a Thomas Jefferson Goodrum, there could be a connection to my great-grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Goodrum (who also named his son, my (great) "Uncle Tommy" Thomas Jefferson Goodrum. T.J., Sr. married Fannie Davis, and died in 1941 in Spring, Texas, I believe, as that is where my grandmother, Wessie Aldrich Goodrum Benton was born. Either there could be a connection, or the name Thomas Jefferson was coincidentally very popular with unrelated branches of the Goodrum name. I am not certain, but I believe that T.J., Sr., was from Tallahassie, Florida, but there is no telling where he was born.
