I am totally amazed by this board.I don't know alot of information but i hope this helps some of you.My grandfather was Elmer Gordon Goodrow from Woodland,Pa. He was a decendant of the Goodrues from Canada. The spelling was changed when his grandfather came to the US to make it easier to pronounce and spell ,so i was told.I believe he was a John Goodrue but i'm not sure. The name John Black comes to mind somewhere along the line.I saw a post about curved fingers. My grandfather's brother John had a problem with his hands.I remember him having short, thick curved fingers...scared me as a kid.Anyhow there are a ton of Goodrow's still living in the Woodland area and i know there are a few in St. Mary's but thier name is spelled differently.
