The only Holt I have found was born in Pa in 1878. Do you know appox. when your Holt was born? Approx. when he died? You might be able to obtain a death record however the older ones don't usually identify a parent. Do you have a wife's name? I have the Goodrich Family in America book--it was published in 1889 and I didn't find a Holt in the index.
