Hi Gayle,

You posted "I have Abraham Hamilton Goodpasture, b. 10 Jul 1810 in Abingdon, Washington, Virginia. 28 Nov. 1833 he married Sarah M. Humphrey in Washington County, Virginia. He died 8 Sep 1854. His son, David Washington Goodpasture was born 29 Sep 1837 in Smyth Co. VA. He married Lydia Ann Moore in 1888. Her parents were John Moore and Lucy Ann Slaughter. Is this the line you are looking for?"

I finally found information in my mother's belongings ...notes she made either from doing research or information she got from one of her relatives...this information says that Kate Moore's (she married Abraham Goodpasture b 1854) parents were John Moore & Lucy Slaughter. However, I have never been able to document this. Are John & Lucy in fact Lydia's parents? I have Lydia's obituary, but it doesn't mention Kate at all...and she lived longer than Lydia did.

I am desperately seeking information on Mary Catherine "Kate" Moore's parents.

Have you & I already communicated on this subject?
