Rhoda Goodman Perry was my gr gr gr gr grandmother. She was the oldest of ten children all of which lived to adulthood. She was born Feb 3 1795 in Orange Co., North Carolina and died 1870 in Rutherford Co. Tennessee. She and her husband Turner Perry were buried in the Perry Family Cemetery near their home, but were reinterred in the Mt. Juliet, Tennessee Cemetery; due to the fact that in the early 20th century, Percy Priest Lake was built by flooding over their land. Claiborne Goodman and wife Sarah H. Banton were both from Virginia. Claiborne was born Feb 11 1769 in Culpepper Co. Virginia and was the son of Benjamin Goodman and Maria Williams, he died(of old age)Jun 16 1850 in Wilson Co. Tennessee. Sarah Banton Goodman was born May 12 1768 in Bristol Parish, Charles Co., Virginia and died Feb 14 1848. Both Sarah and Claiborne were buried in the Goodman Family Cemetery, then reinterred in the Mt. Juliet, Tennesee Cemetery. Their son Samuel Adams Goodman, Sr. was also a friend to Sam Houston.
