GOODMAN-LUSE
At the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. LUSE, on Tuesday
evening, Jan. 2d, 1894, occurred the marriage of Miss Lemma LUSE and Abraham
GOODMAN, Elder L. M. KOB officiating.
Guests to the number of over sixty had assembled to witness the nuptials, and
as the clock struck eight, Mrs. Grace AMOS began playing Mendelssohn's
Wedding March. When the contracting parties had taken their position the music
ceased, and the minister with a short and impressive ceremony made them husband
and wife.
Congratulations were extended to the happy couple by the entire company,
after which all were privileged to partake of a supper of which the most epicurean
could find no fault.
The bride is a young lady of intelligence and good attainments, and one who
will prove to be a good wife.
The groom is a son of Samuel GOODMAN and is a young man of good sense and
splendid ability as a farmer and stockraiser.
The marriage seems to be in every respect a proper one, the young couple seem
adapted for each other.
The bride was the recipient of many useful and valuable presents.
The Express joins their large circle of friends in extending congratulations
and best wishes.
We feel it would be improper to close this notice without special mention of
the nice easy way the large company was handled by Mr. Robt PIPER, who was
master of ceremonies. The splendid success that attended the festivity was
largely due to the able assistance rendered by him to the hospitable family.
