Sandy, CORNELIUS CARVER you mentioned is not a proven member of my particular set of CARVERS, at least not yet!I am hard a work trying to prove/disprove my theory that the CARVERS from Westmoreland/Stratford Co. moved further south in VA to Louisa/Bedford/Caro-
line, etc, counties and from the across the line into Orange/Caswell/Person counties in NC.The same relatives (LORD, STRATTON, BARTLETT, among others) appear in these counties, too.
As for my GOODMANS, it looks pretty solid that ROBERT (b. 1783), son of JOHN (d. 1790, Greene Co., TN) went back to Bedford Co., VA, and married ANN(A) NEAL, daughter of ZEPHANIAH NEAL and then came to Wilson Co., TN, along with his father-in-law and other members of the Neal family. In his will, NEAL mentions "ANNA GOODMAN's heirs".ROBERT's brother, STEPHEN, moved to KY, as did AMOS GOODMAN, together with relatives of the REYNOLDS and RICHARDSON families. Some of them also moved to the WILSON/SMITH counties area of TN. ROBERT GOODMAN, JR., married MARTHA RICHARDSON in Wilson Co. in the 1840s.
