Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Samuel Goodhue, who married Deborah Wadleigh, is also the great grandfather of Jonathan and James Goodhue. Jonathan is the one who wrote the Genealogy of the Goodhue Family book in the late 1890's, and James is the guy that Goodhue County, Minnseota was named for.
Samuel is the brother to my ancestor, Nathaniel Goodhue, who married Lydia Hill. Their parents are Samuel Goodhue and Abigail Bartlett. Samuel Sr. is the son of Joseph Goodhue and Mercy Boynton, and Joseph is son of the emigrants William and Margery Watson Goodhue.
Sorry for the long space in answering, but it has been awhile since I checked in here at the site. Feel free to e-mail me direct and I can send more detailed info. Tom.
