You have just solved a mystery for me about who George Goodeve was (he is listed in the trade directories as a corn merchant, and also found a reference to a court case involving the theft of his fowl- chickens & turkeys - in a local newspaper).

I think John Goodeve's first wife was a woman named Sarah Bedford - they are listed as witnesses at Fanny & James Watson's marriage. With the 2nd marriage to your relative, where did they live?

I am a direct descendant of Fanny Goodeve and James Watson - through their 2nd son, James. Their daughter Fanny Elizabeth married John Shuker Goodeve - don't know whose son he was, but obviously a cousin.
