Deborah, This has been the most frustrating lineage I have worked with! Are you in DAR at this time under another ancestor? I am, under 2 others (not Goode). Much of the Revolutionary paperwork can be seen on Footnote.com and it will cost about $7 a month to use. Thomas died in Covington, Tipton Co., Tennessee and there is a will there listing a few children. Not Hezekiah! After the war he lived in Kentucky, then Alabama, so you will find pensions received in those states. But he died in TN. His will includes only Thomas Jr, Addilissa Clifton (dau), Maranda Greer (dau). "As I have already at different times given to all my children expet those herein named." This will was written in 1847, and I doubt he made it to 1850 for a census. I wonder if the Clifton or Greer decendants inherited a bible? I would contact the Archives in TN and AL to see if there are any deeds, or other records with children listed. I keep hoping that one day we will be able to find our missing links! A 90 yr old cousin of my grandmother told me his name came from his mother being related to Thomas Jefferson. I haven't found anything to substantiate this yet. But have a go at it! And let me know if you find something. We have a lot of TJ Goode descendants looking for proofs of all kinds. I'll let you know if I ever find something (I live in Lockhart) and I'll let you know. Thanks for writing! Notify Administrator about this message?
