The direct line of the original Goodbreads is as follows: Lorenz Gutbrodt m. Carina ?. They had a son, Michel Gutbrodt, b. 1604 d. 1673 in Nordheim, Heilbronn, Wertemburg, Germany. He married Christina ?, b. 1670. They had a son, Hans Philip Gutbrodt, b. 1655 d. 1712 in Nordheim. He married Anna Barbara Hovelbauer, b. 1662 in Nordheim. They had a son, Johann Ludwig Gutbrodt, b. 1698 in Nordheim, d. 1776 in York Co., PA. He married Barbara Christina Schickner, b. 1703, Nordheim, d. in York, Co., PA Now, the birth place and date of their son, Phillip is in dispute. The ships records are not clear but seem to indicate that Phillip Goodbread was born in 1726 in Nordheim and made the journey with his parents and siblings as an 8 year old boy. He married a woman named Catherine and had 9 children. If you would like to know more about this family please email me privately and I will be glad to share what I do have.Tracey Edwards
