Looking for male Gooch descendants of Stephen Gooch of King William and Louisa Counties in Virginia. Stephen married Mary Pollard and died in 1816.
I am looking for a participant in a study of the Gooch surname using DNA by testing the Y-chromosome which is passed from father to son. The Y-chromosome is helpful in geneaology as by comparing various family groups one can determine kinship and estimate the most recent ancestor. With the loss of so many Virginia records, this studay could fill in many missing pieces of the puzzle. Please contact me to help. Thanks.
