Dorothy, I believe the McNairy Co Census records prove fairly conclusively the relationships between Thomas Gooch, his sons, and their children and grandchildren. My ancestor was his son John Gillentine Gooch who stayed in McNairy Co and can be traced through census and marriage records there. John's brothers, Jesse, Nicholas & William moved around a little more though they too have children who were in McNairy Co in several censuses. We have a family site which has allowed us to identify and communicate with relatives from each of the Thomas & Margaret Anna Gillentine Gooch children. I would love to exchange updated information with your cousin. Just this summer I found and exchanged information with the descendants of another of Jesse and Lucinda's children, William A Gooch.
