Hello, Suzanne.
My great- grandfather was William Gooch Walls, born Shoreditch 23 Aug 1830. His father was John Walls, and his mother was Susannah. I don't know her last name, but as so many of the family were given the mother's maiden name as a middle name, I think there's a chance she was a Susannah Gooch. There was a William Gooch who died at Shoreditch in the 1840s, and I wondered if he might be my William Gooch Walls maternal grandfather. Just shots in the dark so far. Do you know when your Amelia was born? I see at leat two on the IGI, born 1819 (St Pancras) and 1846 (Battersea).
