My grandmother, Jacinta Higuera Acebo Gomez, married Luis Gomez Lastra and came to Barre, VT in 1929. They were both from Mirones, Santander. I don't know about Pedro Gomez Higuera, but he was probably a relative. I'll see if I can find out. The spaniards that settled in Barre, VT were mostly stone masons and worked in the stone quarries.
