Celebrates Luis Moses Gomez, a Sephardic converso Jew, who, born in Madrid in 1680, began a new life in the colonies around 1700. Received a certificate of
denization from
Queen Anne allowing him to buy property.
His trading post is now kept as an historic
site. Four other families followed and make the house important in the Hudson Valley history.
