Dear Audrey,

There are two Golightly Cemeteries, both small, enumerated in the book of Cemetery inscriptions for Madison Co., AL. You should be able to find this source in most large libraries in the south. I have seen it and abstracted Golightly information from it, however I did not make a copy of the pages. I know there are Golightly researchers who have copied the pages. The Golightly family members buried there are Hugh Golightly and his wife (buried in separate cemeteries almost exactly 5 miles apart). This Hugh Golightly was the son of Christopher Golightly and Jane Harrison and was mentioned in Christopher Golightly's will as having left Spartanburg Co. 15 years ago and not being heard from presumed dead. If this family is of interest to you please e-mail me at

Jack Shands
