Kathy....I apologize that no one has followed up your message. I have not been on the site for about a year.. and I see Eric Hovemeyer has also been side tracked. Eric is what we call the "God Father" of Goldsberry Genealogy. His gggrandmother, I believe it was, was a Goldsberry and Eric, as a high school student over 40 years ago, became infatuated with the name and started researching it. I became acquainted with him a few years later and we have been hop knobing ever since. Eric has the largest USA Goldsberry database of anyone in the world.... even larger than the Mormon Church. He adds to it almost daily. We held a National Goldsberry Family Gathering [NGFG] in Greeley Colorado in Aug 2002. We had mailed out over 1000 invitations, and expected 300 or so, but less than a 100 showed up. We made some new contacts and obtained some new data and Eric printed out everything he had for each participate. Your brother or someone no doubt had communicated with Eric, because Corbin Mack is listed in his master material I have... but you need to communicate with Eric and see if there is anything new. There are 40+ Goldsberry lines in the US.. and we have not been able to tie any of them together. You are of the Teddy line VA>OH and died in 1857 and Eric and I are from the Benjamin line VA>OH who died in 1815. We feel these two were related, but don't know how. There are a few out there working on some of the relationships. We hope to have a Goldsberry Website under way after the first of the year.... and another NGFG in the east, possibly this year and definately in 2008, if we can find the place and people to set it up. The web site will allow us to develop a large picture of the research status of all 40+ lines. Plus, it will be the contact place for all Goldsberry lines and future Gatherings. We appreciate your contined interest Kathy and I trust you will have the pleasure of being part of knocking down a "Thomas" brick wall. Eric's e-mail is EHovemeyer@aol.com ... drop him a note. You may have to wait a few days or weeks, but he will answer. Please feel free to contact me if you care to. I'm in Colorado and Eric's daughter (from OH) is attending the University. We see each other one or two times a year. Hang in there lady.... KLG Notify Administrator about this message?
