I am fairly certain that James Golden, age 50 in 1850 Big Creek, Greene, Arkansas is the father of S H Golden. I have not done the primary document research to prove it, but the connection seems likely.

I am somewhat more cerain that James is the son of Samuel Golden, who died 1857 Weakley County, Tennessee. I do not particularly like using words such as "fairly certain" or "seems likely", but this bunch is hard to pin down.
