I have an old letter dated 1889 that my Great Grandmother, Eliza Jane Gore of Fannin County, Texas, received from her sister, Fannie O. Gore Anderson of Gainsborough, Jackson County, Tennessee. In it Fannie refers to their sister Betsy. Further research reveals that on the 1880 Census for Jackson that a Betty Gold is residing in the Anderson household. No Gold husband is enumerated on that census - something, apparently, happened to him; he died, was absent or a possible divorce??
Does anyone have any knowledge of a Gold-Gore marriage in Jackson, Livingston or Overton Co., TN? Clydene
