James Gold married Mary Laird in St Vigeans, near Dundee, 1802. Son David Laird settled in Market Bosworth in 1850, marrying Ann Burke. James was market gardener in London (his children being Arthur, Fredrick, George, Horace and Mabel). Other children of David were Anne (Moores), Isabella Lucy (Hyden) and Henry Gould.
