Their was a Griffin connection, since Pleasant Gold's will had an oath by Elijah Griffin. "Gold Generations" has Elijah Griffin as Pleasant Gold's brother-in-law and husband of either his sister Mary or Sarah. "Gold Generations in England and America" by Pleasant Daniel Gold can also be found in the Shelby County Library, NC.
