Moses and Agnes left Virginia for Georgia before John, who stayed behind and took care of a couple of his sisters. He came to Georgia sometime in 1794. On October 22, 1794 John Goins of Greene County, Georgia received a deed from John Fluker of Oglethorpe County, Georgia to 200 acres "on the waters of the Ogeechee bounded on the northwest by Henry's land" for "£86 lawful money." The land had been originally granted to James Espey January 21, 1785. Our Going family Moved to Kentucky from Georgia about 1805. Apparently Moses and Agnes stayed in Georgia. Is that what you show? Kentucky land records established that John Levi Goins aka Levi Goins, Hiram Barefoot Goins, Abner Aaron Goins and Absalom Jefferson Goins were all brothers, and sons of John Goins. They inherited their father's farm upon his death in 1820 The farm, about 800 acres, was valuable with a sawmill and a gristmill located on it. We need to connect your Joseph to my clan. Do you have any of his brothers or sisters names? Do you happen to know Agnes' maiden name?
